FOR TODAY … 30 June 2008
Outside My Window…Trees, a quiet street, gray sky that I hope means rain.
I am thinking…About the power of positive reinforcement. How often we forget the effects of praise. How sad it is that we try to basic behavioral change on punishment. And how often we do it to ourselves.
I am thankful for…Fire Fighters. Dvds. Having family that I connect with. Lite Caesar dressing.
From the kitchen…I think I’ll make roast vegetables tonight. Beets and carrots and onions and potatoes with olive oil and garlic. Maybe pick up some rosemary garlic bread.
I am wearing…Black slacks, a soft gold tank top. It’s velvet with a front panel of satin with roses. There’s lace around the neckline. It’s incredibly feminine. A funky green and gold necklace that I beaded.
I am creating…Simple necklaces from the red dragon beads. Tried to use liquid sculpty for water in the fountain and failed. May be able to salvage it.
I am going…To keep trying to learn how to create links to photos.
I am reading…Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson
I am hoping…That the fire’s will be out in Lake’s Basin this week. That we remember to have a back up plan.
I am hearing…Nothing much. But that wont last long.
Around the house… Matt did an awesome job organizing and cleaning in the den.
One of my favorite things…Peaches. A fresh, ripe peach is heaven. Reminds me of being 6 yo, sitting on the steps to my Grandma’s house in WA. My sister and I were eating these giant peaches from a roadside stand and were kicked out for being too messy. I’ll always remember how juicy those peaches were.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Ignore the hot tub because I couldn’t find my roommate this week. Go to the store and buy food for the camping trip. Print maps and figure out our back up plan. Get fire wood, gather all the camping stuff in one place, pack my duffel bag. Be away from people and just us for a couple of days.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…I haven’t put any new ones on my flickr stuff, so how about a joke.
How many psychology’s does it take to change a light bulb?
Only one, but the light bulb has to want to change.

FOR TODAY … 23 June 2008
Outside My Window…Smoke and that odd color of light that happens only when you have fires.
I am thinking…I don’t have my inhaler with me today. My honey makes me laugh. I love what if games. I need to make a pot of coffee.
I am thankful for…People with a good sense of humor. Imagination. Text messaging.
From the kitchen…The lingering smells of BBQ. Hamburgers, corn, watermelon, cheese cake, and lighter fluid.
I am wearing…The same thing I was wearing last Tuesday. I have a pretty new necklace that my sister made for me. Unfortunately it’s still sitting in my jewelry box.
I am creating…Some red dragon beads. A miniature fountain and bench. A mess of my studio.
I am going…Camping for the fourth of July. To put in time off for my cousin coming to spend a weekend before she has a year exchange with Japan and for my birthday too.
I am reading…Nothing to Lose by Lee Child.
I am hoping…That Matt will help me plan for the camping trip. He’s the boy scout.
I am hearing…Cars go by. My crunchy salad that I decide would be better for breakfast.
Around the house… I have some tidying to do after the BBQ.
One of my favorite things…Googel. Where did questions go B.G? (Before Google)
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:Put down some more paving stones by the hot tub and plant moss in them. Beat up my friend until he helps me get the hot tub working. And if all of that works, sit in the hot tub in the middle of the night, under the stars and cuddle with my honey.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…Still don’t have one to share.
